A true jewel in the heart of Lapland, Aurora Forest Lodge is tucked away in one of Äkäslompolo's most breathtaking locations. This cabin, which is made of traditional log wood, provides the best Lapland experience in a serene, natural, and comfortable environment. It exudes coziness, closeness, and genuineness.
The cabin
The primary facilities are located on the ground floor of the two-story cabin. The cabin is accessible from both the front and back doors. Your own parking spot just in front of the entrance adds convenience by preventing you from having to carry all of your groceries and luggage through the snow.
The ground level has two bedrooms, both of which have double beds, making it perfect for couples and families. A beautiful fireplace is located close to the large windows on the ground level. A warm cup of tea or a glass of wine, a view of your own small forest, and the coziness and warmth of the fireplace make the living area the perfect spot to unwind with one another.
With the facilities in the kitchen, you can definitely make your own dinner. After a long and tiring day, you can enjoy a wonderful, comforting supper without having to cook fancy thanks to the oven and microwave. A private sauna with a tiny window overlooking the icy winter scene outside is also available.
If you are traveling with children or a small party, there are more beds accessible upstairs. You can also utilize this large space as a loft to play board games or watch TV
Location
The cabin is located in my favorite area of Lapland which is Äkäslompolo. Here you will find peace and quietness and explore authentic Lapland.
The center and supermarket are both accessible by foot and car, but it's still far enough away for solitude and peace. One of the greatest places to see the Northern Lights is at Äkäslompolojärvi Lake which is approximately 25 minutes walking from the cabin. The cabin is surrounded by unspoiled environment, cross-country ski routes, and walking trails
